Our trip to Charmouth yesterday was a real success. Despite the pouring rain, we managed to get into the Heritage centre and find out lots about the way fossils are formed. We were then given lots of tips for the kinds of fossils to look for on the beach. These included Belemnites, Crinoids, Ammonites and like many we found , fools gold ammonites. After a quick snack, we were off out into the rain a little more and onto the beach. The children were amazing at finding all sorts of fossils -some were even too heavy to bring back! You can see a few examples in the slideshow below.
Thank you so much to everyone who contributed to fundraising events in 2016/17. We have raised £5000 towards the cost of replacing the stolen iPads, £3000 of which has already been handed over to the school.
