Team 3 Open Afternoon

Team 3 had a trip back in time performing some Lindyhop-style dancing for their open afternoon recently. They had been having Lindyhop dance lessons led by Emma Byrnes in their PE sessions for the first half of this term. It was a massively fun afternoon and the children showed that they had learnt some great moves and the confidence to perform them in front of their parents. Well done all!

Penguin Day

We had a fun day full of penguins as a reward for filling our class jars. Lots of people embraced the penguin theme and we saw some impressive cotumes! The children did some lovely penguin art activities. Finally, we all enjoyed munching a chocolate penguin biscuit whilst watching happy feet. Thank you parents and carers for your support with costumes. We all look forward to choosing our next reward....let's get filing those jars again.

Maya Hot chocolate making!

Here are some photos of Mr Williams' class making and tasting their Maya hot chocolate recipe. Many of them reported that they will be making this style of hot chocolate at home now - make sure you let your parents have a taste!

Banksy-inspired Artwork

Continuing our theme of Street Art, the children have created their own artwork using stencils.

Lily Visits Landscore

We were lucky enough to have Miss Coney's dog Lily come to visit us in school. Lily loved her visits to Landscore, especially all the attention she got. The children behaved sensibly and were all able to stroke her if they wanted. Miss Coney was asked a lot of questions and the children learnt lots of dog and Lily facts. These visits got the children excited to write fact files about dogs. We were amazed by how much information they remembered! The finished fact sheets really show how this hands on experience helped the children's writing. Thank you Lily (and Miss Coney).
