Year 1 Maths 30.6.20

We are continuing to work on telling the time to the hour today and it would be good to use your clock to help you with today's activities.

Let's start by singing the 'What's the time' song again.

Now watch this clip and do your best to join in, telling the time to the hour, especially when it's your turn. Don't forget to use your clocks!

Tell a grown up where the long hand points when it is an 'o’clock' time. The long hand is also called the minute hand. Tell a grown up where the short hand points for an o’clock time. The short hand is also called the hour hand.

Your task today is to use your clock to work on showing and reading the time to the hour. Ask a grown up to say a time for you to show eg 3 o'clock / 8 o'clock and then they could show you an o'clock time and you have to read it.

Extra Challenge - Have another go at joining in with this clip to show and tell the time.
