Crediton Big Read

Year 4 have been really lucky this month as we were asked to be involved in Crediton Community Book Shop's "Big Read"! Every child in Year 4 was kindly given a copy of "The 13-Storey Treehouse" by Andy Griffiths (illustrated by Terry Denton) from Crediton Book Shop!

As you can see from the photos we have all really enjoyed reading the book (even upside down!) and some of us have even been inspired to read the next book in the series. We would like to say a massive thank you to the book shop for coming in and giving us the books - we really appreciate your generous gift! Here are some reviews from the children about the book - "This book is about two characters inventing things and living in a 13 Storey tree house. They have a bowling alley, a man eating shark pool and a marshmallow machine that fires marshmallow's into your mouth whenever you are hungry! I would recommend this book to all my friends because they like this kind of stuff" - Sam.T "This book blew my mind. It has a "catnary" in it, a super finger and a man with the biggest nose in history. If you like comedy gold, if you like pillows and if you like reading then get this book and get reading!" - Will. G "This book will make you laugh and certainly make you beg your parents for a 13-storey tree house! It has a tank of man eating sharks, the biggest burps you'll see and there's a whole chapter with just one word! Take a look at this brilliant comedy book to find out more!" - Caitlyn N. "Do you like adventures? Well this is the right book for you! It's got a tank of sharks, a lemonade fountain, a bowling alley and a marshmallow machine. You won't want to put it down. Thank you Crediton Book shop for the books! " - Kahlan. D
