Team 2 had an absolutely fantastic start to term, as we experienced Amazon Day! We spent the whole day learning about different types of animals that live in the rainforest, where different rainforests are in the world and different things that we get from the rainforest. We dared to cross the Amazon River, which we know has no bridges! We had to work as a team to make sure no members fell into the dangerous water and were eaten by piranhas, attacked by caiman or swallowed up by an anaconda! We undertook our very own "bush tucker trial" and were very brave! We put our hands into boxes without being able to see the objects inside...some of them felt very creepy! We were able to use only our hands to help us identify some different products/food that we get from the rainforest. We also spent the day making incredible artwork to transform the Team 2 corridor into our very own Amazon Rainforest! Along the top of the ceiling you will see the Amazon River, full of animals and fish that live there. We have beautiful trees decorating our classroom doors and inside you will find lots of different animals and plants decorating our classroom!
We can't wait for you all to come in and see the incredible "Team 2 Rainforest"
