"Mum! One of the stick insects is eating the other one." I heard being shouted from the landing.
I rushed upstairs making a plan of what to do with a cannibalistic stick insect, hoping that this wasn't the case, as they have plenty of food.
Thank goodness Jesse was wrong. It wasn't eating another stick insect but shedding it's old, tight skin and as it was trying to wriggle out (head last) it did resemble one insect eating another.
We now have a much bigger stronger looking stick insect in the flock and feel very lucky to have caught a glimpse of this.
