Year 1 Maths 20.5.20

Today we are continuing to work on numbers within 100 but we are focusing on place value - what the digits represent. For example in a two digit number, the first digit is the tens number and the last digit is the ones number. So in the number '34', there are 3 tens and 4 ones.

Click here for today's activity, which is on BBC Bitesize. We suggest that you watch the short video clips and have a go at Activity 1 and 2 (leave Activity 3 until tomorrow!)

Can you make any other 2-digit numbers using something from around the house to represent the tens and ones?

Remember you can have another go at singing the songs and playing the 'hunt the number' game from Monday's session again if you wish.
