Today we are learning about simple contractions. You will see the punctuation mark apostrophe used in contractions.
A contraction is a word or phrase that has been shortened by dropping one or more letter.
An apostrophe is always place where the letter has been removed. For example: can not becomes can’t; it is becomes it’s; I will becomes I’ll.
