We had a fun creative afternoon in the woodland area this week.
We watched a lovely story about a hedgehog getting ready to hibernate, but she kept getting interrupted and other animals were trying to share her home.
This inspired the children to create their own hedgehogs out of clay and natural resources found in the area. They made some fabulous characters! Once they were happy with their creatures creations, they set about building a home for it to live in. We had some very imaginative structures with slopes and ramps, multiple stories and rooms. But I particularly loved the well camouflaged hidden homes.
We all had such a lovely afternoon (and the weather was kind!).
Take a look at these smiley faces and sweet little hedgehogs hiding out in the woodlands.
