Wednesday 20th May – Telling the Time
Today is the chance to practise all that you have learnt to do with time so far. Please feel free to watch any of the videos again if you need to.
A parent kindly found this clock idea to make, which involves using two paper plates and having the normal clock face on the top and the '5 minute intervals' underneath as an extension activity. You might fancy trying to make one of these if you have the correct resources!
Today’s activities are playing different games, which link to o’clock, half past, quarter past and quarter to. Are you ready for the challenge?! Choose as many of the games as you like.
3. Hickory Dickory Dock – Level 1
4. Time tools
5. Can you challenge an adult or brother/sister in your house? You make the time on the clock and they read it. Swap over!
6. You can even try making up your own time game.
Now you can tell the time using o’clock, half past, quarter to and quarter past – why not try looking at the clocks in your house when you notice the time and say what time it is!
