What we've been up to
We had an amazing visit to Plymouth Aquarium in July.
Our highlights from the day were looking around the different rockpools and tanks as well as learning about many of the different sea creatures.
This linked to our Science topic as we completed a workshop about sea life food chains.
In Year 1 the children will be starting to focus on Drawing Club, continuing on from EYFS. The children will be introduced to a new book each week (initially Little Red Riding Hood) and complete exciting codes to develop their writing skills. They will also work on handwriting, SPaG and dictations.
In Year 2, the children will begin by focusing on the book Little Red Riding Hood. We will explore the text, look at nouns and adjectives before retelling the story.
At home, the children can practise re-telling the story and spotting different nouns within the story and describing them using adjectives.
