What we've been up to
We had an amazing visit to Plymouth Aquarium in July.
Our highlights from the day were looking around the different rockpools and tanks as well as learning about many of the different sea creatures.
This linked to our Science topic as we completed a workshop about sea life food chains.
In Year 1 the children have started to focus on Drawing Club, continuing on from EYFS. The children have been introduced to a new book Little Red Riding Hood and will look at a new book each fortnight. This is to develop their creative writing skills. They are also working on handwriting, SPaG and dictations.
In Year 2, the children have been focusing on the book Little Red Riding Hood too. We have explored the text, looked at nouns and adjectives before retelling the story.
At home, the children can practise re-telling the story and spotting different nouns within the story and describing them using adjectives.
