School Day
Children enter through the main gates between 8:45am and 9:00am.
Children should not be on site before 8.45am, as there is no one outside to supervise them. If you need to drop your children off early, Kidz Star Club are able to provide child-care (please see the Community section of our website).
Collection is at 3:30pm (from the playground). The gates open at 3:25pm and parents either meet the children from their classroom doors (EYFS and KS1) or in the main playground (KS2). Year 5 and 6 are welcome to walk home if permission has been provided to class teachers,.
School Catering
We are currently in between catering providers due to the unexpected closure of our previous provider.
We are currently looking to recruit a new team with the support of 'Chefs in Schools' and are very excited about this new exciting development for our school.
We will update you through the newsletter and use this area of the website to share menus once they are all back and running.
In the Event of Bad Weather....
Just in case the snows arrive or a severe weather warning issued, you need to be aware of our school-closure plan. The best way to access this is to simply look at the school website Latest News section and/or wait for a text from school. We will assess the situation in the morning based on the condition of the school environment (heating, surface safety etc) and the availability of staff and make a decision at 7.30am. Information will go on the website and sent as a text to all parents by 7.45am at the latest. We will also give information to Radio Devon (although be aware that there is a school called Landscove in Asburton!). Please don't assume we are closed just because there's a little bit of snow on the ground.
