What we've been up to
We had an amazing visit to Devon Country Classroom in July.
Our highlights from the day were going on the tractor ride, feeding the chickens and the lambs and watching a sheep being shaun!
English
In English, we will be focusing on descriptive writing. The children will be practising the use of capital letters and full stops, while also adding interesting adjectives to make their writing more exciting and detailed.
At home, the children can be practising designing their own monsters so they talk and write descriptions about what they look like!
Spelling
The children will have a spelling test every week on 10 spellings following a specific rule. Please make sure your child is practising these spellings at home.
The children will also be learning the Year 3/4 Statutory Spellings across the year, so please have a look at some of these each week to help your child with learning them!

Maths
In Maths, we have started our unit on place value. We have been partitioning numbers and exploring what different place value units numbers are made up of.
