curriculum
The curriculum at Landscore is designed to inspire our pupils and engage them in learning through adopting a practical, cross-curricular and creative approach.
Our themes follow a two-year rolling programme and covers the National Curriculum. Teachers create medium and short term plans collaboratively using a hook to grasp the pupil’s interest and ensure the theme has a purposeful outcome. The hook may be a trip, a special visitor or an activity to enable the pupils to generate questions. The pupils work towards a clear outcome at the end of their theme and showcase their exciting learning journey in a variety of ways from performances to 'double page spreads'.
Our curriculum maps set out the National Curriculum objectives to be taught through each theme. Areas of the curriculum a revisited and built upon as children move through the school. Each year there are two whole school themes.
