ART
At Landscore, we believe that high-quality Art lessons inspire children to think innovatively and stimulate their creativity and imagination. Our Art curriculum provides children with opportunities to develop their skills using a range of media and materials. Children learn the techniques of drawing, painting, printing, textiles, sculpture and digital art and are given the opportunity to explore and evaluate different creative ideas. Our children work both collaboratively and independently and the knowledge they acquire adds to their experiences and depth of understanding in other areas of learning. Children are expected to be reflective learners and to persevere by thinking about how they can make changes and keep improving their work.
Throughout their time at Landscore, children are introduced to a wide range of visual arts. They develop knowledge of significant artists, craftspeople and designers and learn about the roles and purposes of art in different times and cultures.
