In DT this half term, Year 3 and 4 have been cooking up a storm!
We have explored making pizzas, looking at where the common ingredients in pizza originate from, how yeast helps dough rise and developing our knowledge of how to safely cook and prepare food in a kitchen.
We designed our pizzas first and then took to the kitchen to prepare the dough and wait for it to prove. We used our new knife skills to chop, slice, cube and cut the ingredients for our toppings and then baked these in the oven.
We had a brilliant time in the kitchen and created some delicious pizzas to take home -
