Today we are going to read our new class story ‘The Three Little Aliens and the Big Bad Robot’.
Have a think and a chat with your grown up, does the title remind you of any other stories you know?
Looking at the front cover, what do you think this book is about?
What are your first impressions? Do you like it or dislike it?

When you are reading it think about what you like and dislike, and see if you recognise any patterns that happen, or that are said in the story. Or maybe you’ll find some puzzles or questions you have about it.
Once you have ready it, complete this table to record your likes, dislikes, patterns and any puzzles you have found.
A pattern might be something that comes up several times in the book. Or it could be something you recognise from another story. A puzzle might be something you are confused about, a question you have or maybe some vocabulary you are unsure of.
Write them all down and hopefully we will be able to answer them as we carry on working on the book.
