This half-term in RE (Religious Education) we are thinking about what makes some places sacred to believers, with particular focus on the similarities and differences between places of worship.
First, we're going to start by looking at a church, what is special about the outside of a church? What would you find inside a church?
Follow this powerpoint to find out some facts about the inside and the outside of a church.
Now print out these worksheets.
Draw a line to parts of the church outside (don't forget to use a ruler!).
Stick the pictures in the right places for the inside parts of a church.
Can you tell a grown up what each item is? Why it is special? What it is for?
Watch these clips and meet Jack and Reverend Liz for a tour around a real church!
