In Art this half term, Team 2 have been focusing on Andy Goldsworthy. Andy Goldsworthy is a British artist, photographer and environmentalist. He’s known for his use of natural materials and exploring themes like the passing of time. Goldsworthy crafts his art from natural resources like rocks, ice and leaves, aware that the passing of time and exposure to the elements will alter his work.
The children have been focusing on observational drawing using patterns in nature and have created their own sculptures using natural resources using these patterns as inspiration.
