I would like to see your maths work today so please email a photo of your work to me.
Today in maths we are focusing on numbers to 50.
Use this counting in tens song to get you warmed up and ready to start today. Remember to pronounce the number names correctly! Click here and get ready to join in.
Now have a look at this video.
You could click here for the power point slides if you would prefer to go at your own pace.
Remember to share your ideas and answers with a grown up.
Finally, I would like you to complete this worksheet.
You could also practise counting sets of objects (up to 50) around your house in ones, such as toy cars, a handful of pasta, some beads, pens or pencils, a pile of books. Can you record the number that you count? You could use the number grid to 50 to help you with this (see below).
Grown ups: ensure that your child is correctly saying the next ten number eg 29, 30 / 39, 40. You could use this number grid to 50 to support their counting.
Extension challenge: Can you count from 1 to 50 in ones? Can you count from 1 to 50 in tens? Can you count back from 50 to 0 in ones? Can you count back from 50 to 0 in tens? Use the counting grid to support you with this if needed.
