Year 1 Phonics wb 1.2.21


After listening to some of the feedback from parents about the online letters and sounds sessions, I have chosen something different for the phonics activities this week.


This week our focus sound is 'ee'. We are going to explore the different ways that you can spell this sound - the different graphemes.


Monday 1st Feb - 'ee' sound written as 'ea'

  • First, watch this short clip.

  • Then have a go at reading real and alien words in the Buried Treasure game. Click on phase 5 and click on the 'ea' box.

  • Then have a go at writing some words which contain the 'ea' spelling. Ask a grown up to say the word and you have a go at spelling it. Click here for a list of words.
